So. The comic's back, looking a little different. Hopefully not too much.
The unexpected collapse of the creative team hit me pretty hard. Not only did it force an unscheduled hiatus (often the kiss of death, for a lot of webcomics), but it even jeopardized the comic's relationship with its publisher. That, and the slowly dawning realization that I wasn't going to be able to find a replacement artist… well, it was a bleak time, let's leave it at that.
What got me through it all was you folks. The readers. Even during the hiatus, people kept commenting, kept rooting for the comic's return. For a while there, those little snippets of text were the only thing keeping me going. I thank you all. It helped.
In the end, I wasn't able to find a new artist. It's just me now, doing quadruple-duty as writer, drawer, colorist and letterer. That's way more than I can handle, and it may not be possible to maintain a weekly schedule once the buffer runs out. But I'm going to do everything it takes to keep this comic running, as long as there are fans out there who want to read it.
